Nerivio User Manual
The Nerivio User manual contains all of the information you need about the device and its usage. You'll find the full user manual available for download on our FAQ page https://nerivio.com/faq/
Can you get more than one Nerivio device at a time?
Nerivio is a prescription treatment and a healthcare provider determines the course of your therapy and the number of refills on your prescription. As long as you have refills on your prescription, you can order additional Nerivio devices. Some insurance plans may have a limit to the number of refills covered under your insurance. You may inquire with your insurance on the specifics of your plan.
How to carry the device on a plane or to the airport
Nerivio may be carried on the plane with you in your carry-on. However, you should not wear the device when you pass through the x-ray machine at security.
💡Tip: If you are in the middle of a treatment, pause it to pass through security and resume it on the other side.
How to store/carry your Nerivio
It is recommended to store Nerivio at room temperature. Exposure to extreme heat or cold for an extended time could jeopardize the device's and the electrodes' stability and effectiveness.
We also recommend keeping Nerivio and the armband in the provided carrying bag or a different pouch and carrying it with you so it’s available for the next migraine attack or preventive treatment.
Is the battery in the Nerivio reusable or rechargeable?
The Nerivio battery is lithium and lasts for 18 treatments. At this time, Nerivio does not contain a rechargeable battery.
How to dispose of the Nerivio device?
Nerivio has a lithium battery. Please dispose of your used Nerivio by following the guidelines of your local municipality.
Nerivio does offer a recycling program. (In the US only)
How can I recycle my Nerivio?
Once you have completed your 18 treatments you can recycle your Nerivio device. (In the US only)
Contact us at [email protected] with your name, mailing address, phone number, and how many devices you have to recycle and we will provide you a prepaid envelope for sending the used devices for recycling.
💡Tip: Each Nerivio recycling envelope will fit up to 4 devices.
Device expiration and what to do with an expired device
Nerivio devices have an expiration date that can be found on both the box and the protective film for the electrodes. If your device has expired, stop using it. To request a refill for a new device, contact your pharmacy or press the REFILL button in the upper left corner of the Nerivio app and follow the prompts.
If your prescription is over a year old, you will need to speak with your healthcare provider about getting an updated prescription.
