Nerivio is an FDA-cleared, drug-free therapy for the acute and preventive treatment of migraine, with or without aura. It is available for patients ages 8 and up in the U.S. and for those 12 and up in other locations where Nerivio is offered. It is a prescription use, a self-administered device for use in the home environment at the onset of migraine headache or aura for acute treatment or every other day for preventive treatment.

Are there any contraindications for using Nerivio?

Nerivio is contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled epilepsy and patients with an active implantable medical device, such as a pacemaker, hearing aid implant, or any implanted electronic device.

Nerivio has not been evaluated in patients with congestive heart failure, severe cardiac or cerebrovascular disease, pregnancy, or patients under the age of 8.

❗IMPORTANT: Consult with your healthcare provider, to understand if Nerivio is right for you.

Can Nerivio be used with active implantable devices such as a pacemaker or defibrillator?

Nerivio should not be used by anyone with active implantable medical devices. Such use could cause electric shock, electrical interference or serious injuries or medical conditions.

Can Nerivio be used with a glucose monitor?

Nerivio should not be used by anyone with an active implantable medical device.

Glucose monitors can vary by make and model. Continuous glucose monitors may use radio frequency and wireless communications. For continuous glucose monitors, we recommend you contact your healthcare provider to determine if there are any contraindications of use with Nerivio.

Do not use devices which generate strong electrical or electromagnetic fields (this includes BlueTooth devices), near the Nerivio device. This may result in incorrect operation of the device and create a potentially unsafe situation. In order to reduce the risk of EM interference, it is recommended to keep a minimum distance of 12 inches (30 cm) between the device and other electromagnetically radiating devices (this includes BlueTooth devices). Verify correct operation of the device in case the distance is shorter. During the immunity tests the device operated normally.

Using Nerivio in people with severe cardiovascular disease

Nerivio has not been evaluated in patients with congestive heart failure or severe cardiac disease. It should not be used in patients with an active implantable device such as a pacemaker.
