What's the difference between a connected device and a turned-on device?
A device is considered “turned on” when the green light flashes. This does not mean it is connected to the app.
To connect your device:
Make sure Bluetooth is turned “on” on your phone. Do not try to pair the device from the Bluetooth menu.
Place the device directly next to the phone on a table. (If the device is on your arm, please remove it when connecting.)
Turn on the device by pushing the power button (the green light will flash slowly).
Open the Nerivio App on your phone.
Select connect device. You will see a spinning wheel and be asked to pair the device.
When the green “start” icon appears in the center of the screen, you are connected and ready to treat!
Where can I see how many treatments are left on my Nerivio
Once Nerivio is connected to the app, you will see the number of treatments remaining on your device at the top of the home screen.
💡TIP: Number of treatments running low? Use the refill button on the top left corner of the home screen and follow the prompts to refill.
Setting treatment reminders and notifications in the app

The Nerivio app offers a free Daily Migraine Diary! Keeping a consistent migraine diary is one of the most important things you can do for your migraine management, and it only takes 1 minute a day.
A consistent headache diary can help you:
Track your migraine attack patterns over time, including the frequency, duration, and severity of headaches

The migraine diary can be used daily or just at the time of

❗️Remember: Your pre and post-treatment questions are separate from your daily diary. The data from these questionnaires is populated in the MyAnalytics tab on the app.
The Diary Tab on the App
This screen enables you to track and edit your treatment sessions and migraine headaches. Clicking Diary in the app will open a calendar where all your treatment sessions and reported migraine attacks are stored. Treatment sessions are marked as green dots on the treatment days, and daily diary records are marked as white circle on the reported days.
Clicking on the ‘Fill Daily Diary’ button will allow you to add a report of your migraine
headache and other symptoms, regardless of whether you performed a treatment or not. This can be filled in daily, but not more than once a day.
In the calendar view, clicking on a specific day will open the details of the daily health
tracking and treatments that occurred on this day. You may edit the diary entry by pressing the edit button on the record. The diary information can be summarized in a table exported and shared with your healthcare provider or any other caregiver. This is done by clicking the SHARE button, which enables you to download the file and save it locally or send it by email or any messaging app installed on your phone.
MyAnalytics
Your migraine records are summarized in the MyAnalytics screen. MyAnalytics presents
you with the number of migraines you have had, your headache pain levels, and the presence of other symptoms. It provides information on how well you adhere to Nerivio's recommended instructions, such as treating early.
MyAnalytics presents whether your treatments with Nerivio were helpful for your headaches and other symptoms and provides information on the types of medications you use. It displays the distribution of your migraines across the weekdays and times of the day (e.g., mornings). This information only exists if you record your symptoms when you treat your and two hours after the treatment is over.
The information on MyAnalytics can be exported to a PDF and shared with your healthcare provider, a family member, or a friend. This is done by clicking the SHARE button, which enables you to download the file and save it locally or send it by email or any messaging app installed on your phone.

What is the GIER UP?
The Nerivio app feature called GIER UP, Guided Imagery, Education, and Relaxation is a rich video library.
The library contains:
- Educational content to help you understand your migraine.
-Guided practices designed to reduce pain, stress, and tension.
The videos were created and led by top headache psychologists.
GIER is your migraine management companion and can be accessed during each Nerivio treatment.
While it is optional to watch the GIER video, previous research found that those who combined Nerivio treatment with GIER had consistently higher pain relief, functional improvement, and return to normal functioning beyond those using the Nerivio wearable alone (Buse et al., Pain Medicine, 2022).
How to access the GIER UP videos?
The GIER UP content library is available during every Nerivio treatment:
1. Connect your Nerivio to the app
2. Start your treatment
3. Answer the questionnaire on your migraine symptoms (optional)
4. The ‘GIER UP!’ button will appear at the top-right corner of the app
