This article will cover the most common questions that may arise when troubleshooting your Nerivio.

How to properly connect your Nerivio

The First 2 steps in bold print are VERY important

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned ON on your phone. Do not try to pair the device from the Bluetooth menu.

  2. Place the device directly next to the phone on a table. (If the device is on your arm, please remove it when connecting.)

  3. Turn on the device by pushing the power button (the green light will flash slowly).

  4. Open the Nerivio App on your phone.

  5. Select connect device. You will see a spinning wheel and be asked to pair the device.

  6. When the green “start” icon appears in the center of the screen, you are connected and ready to treat!

  7. If these steps do not work, you may need to restart your phone and try again.

Connectivity issues/Nerivio won’t connect

Follow these steps to troubleshoot connectivity of your Nerivio wearable:

  1. Place the device on a flat surface (i.e., not on your arm), turn your phone OFF and back ON.

  2. Turn Bluetooth OFF and back ON in the settings menu. Do not try to pair the device from the Bluetooth menu.

  3. Place the device next to the phone on a flat surface.

  4. Turn ON the device by pushing its power button (a green light will flash slowly).

  5. Open the Nerivio App on your phone.

  6. Tap the “Connect Nerivio” button.

  7. Wait 10 seconds to see if the device automatically pairs or prompts you to pair for the first time.

If these steps do not work, you may need to restart your phone and try again.

The device disconnected from the app during a treatment

During treatment, it is not necessary to keep the app open or for the device to be within range of your phone. The treatment will continue regardless.

However, if your device was disconnected in the middle of a treatment and you see a "Disconnected" message at the top of the home screen, hold the phone directly over the device while it is secured on your arm and tap "Connect device" on the app.

Do not remove the device from your arm during a treatment session.

The light is not flashing/Experiencing power button trouble

  1. Place the Nerivio device on a hard, flat surface with the protective film facing down.

  2. Press the power button and hold it for several seconds.

  3. The green light should start flashing.

❗Important! If all 18 treatments are complete (i.e., your device is empty), the battery may have died, which can cause the green light to stop working. In this case, request a refill via your pharmacy or tap the refill button in the Nerivio app.

How to reset your password

  1. On the sign-in screen, enter the email address you used to set-up your account.

  2. Select “Forgot Password.”

  3. You will receive an email with a reset link. Click the link to reset your password.

If you do not receive an email to reset your password, it may be associated with a different email address. Please contact Nerivio Cares for assistance (937) 637-4846 M-F 8 am-8 pm ET.

Pairing Nerivio with a different email address or device

Each device can only be associated with one user by means of that user’s email address. Once a device is linked to an account (i.e., to the email address of the account with which it was first paired), it can only be used by logging into that account.

Electrodes are not sticking

Sometimes, the electrodes will lose some of their stickiness.

To fix this:

  1. Put a drop or two of water on your finger.

  2. Rub the water drop into the electrode to improve adhesiveness.

  3. Use the armband to ensure that the device stays on your arm.

🧠Important to note. The decrease in stickiness will not decrease the efficacy of the treatments.

💡TIP: Between treatments, use the protective film to cover the electrodes, to minimize moisture loss.
