Potential side effects of using the Nerivio REN wearable

Nerivio is a safe and effective, drug-free, remote electrical neuromodulation (REN) wearable for the treatment and prevention of migraine.

During treatment with Nerivio, you may experience a temporary warm sensation, tingling, numbness, or pain in the arm, red skin, or muscle spasm, which should disappear shortly after the treatment ends. In clinical trials, no serious or systemic adverse events were experienced; adverse events were mild, did not require treatment, and resolved shortly after device use ended.

Consult with your healthcare provider if these reactions persist, if your migraine worsens, if an allergic reaction occurs, or if there are any other concerns.

Does Nerivio cause any muscle spasms or twitching?

During treatment with Nerivio, you may experience a muscle spasm, which should disappear shortly after the treatment ends. If you feel any discomfort during treatment, try decreasing the intensity or pausing the treatment and shifting the device's placement on the arm. If discomfort persists, stop the treatment and consult your healthcare professional about whether or not Nerivio is right for you.

Will Nerivio cause any skin irritation?

During treatment with Nerivio, you may experience redness of the skin, which should disappear shortly after the end of the treatment.

What to do if migraine attack has worsened since using Nerivio

As in all treatments for migraine, not everyone benefits from Nerivio. In such cases, the migraine attack itself may continue and even worsen with time, which is the natural progress of untreated migraine attacks. In other words, worsening of an attack may result from the patient being not responsive to the treatment, not from the treatment itself.

Consult with your healthcare provider if these reactions persist, if your migraine worsens, if an allergic reaction occurs, or if there are any other concerns.
